  • REVIEW: Teego (birdie package)

So I had heard about this Teego thing. It's basically a ball hopper with an automatic dispenser. I thought "I need something to let me hit balls in the winter, and this thing looks cool. Plus, with the birdie package, I get a hitting mat, shag stick, and net all in the package!"

So I ordered one from teego.com.

The net that came with it was destroyed with 2 balls. (I got a warranty replacement - the Izzo 'Big Daddy'. It's great!)

Anyway, the Teego is a gravity-feed hopper. The hype is that you never have to leave your position, you never have to bend over to re-tee a ball (rubber tee supplied), you never have to bend over to pick them up (shag stick).

Well, after spending 20 minutes going through the hopper in the back yard (50 or 70 balls, I don't remember which) 3 or 4 times, I'm convinced it's money well spent.

I found myself in a nice little groove where I was making fantastic contact. The only knock, of course, is that hitting into a net, you can't see the ball flight. (My on-course problem is that when I make sweet contact, I push-fade the ball. Go figure).

Just thought I'd put a review up - for those that haven't heard about Teego, or for those that were curious!
