            SMT Durometer in 52, 56, and 60°
            SnakeEyes 600XC PW (48&#176
I used to carry a Golfsmith TW 64° wedge, but don't have a use for it anymore. Anything I need a 64 for, I can usually use my 60 for.

PW is the standard one from my irons.
GW Titleist Vokey 52° with 8° bounce.
SW Titleist Vokey 56° with 10° bounce.

I also have a Lob Wedge Titleist Vokey 60° with 4° bounce for when the ground gets firm during summer. It replaces the SW.

Hi Lowpost, I thought the SMT Durometers were ordered in odd degrees of loft, ie 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, and 59; or did you bend yours 1deg weak?

Which insert did you go for? Green or Black? What difference do these diferent dampers make, in terms of actual playability?

Finally, how necessary is it to adjust wedges for lie, more or less than your irons? If it is necessary do you have to use a lie/loft machine or have them done for you, or is it possible to do it yourself without such an apparatus?

                Thanks

                    Guys,

I use a Pitching Wedge, Gap Wedge and Sandwedge. I took my Lob wedge out because I never use it. Greens here are slow and my sandwedge stops pretty quick.

Without looking at them I can't tell you what the bounce angels are of my wedges. I carry three RAC wedges, ie, 48* chrome, 54* tour satin chrome and 60* black. As you can see there is an even amount of degrees between the three.

I picked up the 54* a few months ago whilst in the States. I was carrying a 56* but found at times I needed something a little stronger.

I used to carry a 52* gap but found that I didn't need it. I personally think that the introduction of a gap wedge by the companies is a money making ploy.

                          Hi

                          I carry

                          PW (Equalizer wedge) from Hogan
                          GW Cleveland
                          SW 56 Cleveland
                          LW 60 Cleveland

Actually I dont use the 56o anymore. I will sell it probably.

I love the bridgestones wedges but I could not find them.

Man - I'm really good at missing stuff!

I bent all my duros to lofts that suited me. I actually took my 60° and bent it to 64° and ground the sole like crazy - mostly to see if I could. I went black insert, but am considering ordering some green ones. I recently switched over to Wishon CX Micro wedges - they play pretty fine. The inserts don't effect playability, they affect feel (as feel is the combination of sound and vibration).

It is more important to adjust wedges for lie than irons (although it's important to have all adjusted properly). the higher the loft, the more pronounced an off-lie effect will be. As for actually adjusting them, you can go at it hammer and tongs if you like (quite literally), but a bending machine is the better option.
