    Re: Wedges in Your Bag

I carry the Tom Wishon PCF 52 and 56 degree wedges in the nickel finish. I love the idea of opening the blade up and not having a lot of bounce at the heel of the club. A very forgiving and versatile club.

      Re: Wedges in Your Bag

Since I've just finished my shopping spree for new gear for the 2007 season, I have gone from 3 to 4 wedges, and also from a combination of 2 "generic" wedges (matched to the iron set) and 1 "specialist" wedge (different make and design) to 1 "generic" wedge and 3 "specialist" wedges, now of the same make and picked to match the specs of each other as good as possible.

      Last year's configuration:
      Wilson Deep Red (46/10?) PW
      Wilson Deep Red (54/13?) SW
      Nike TW 60*/10 LW
Loft/bounce angles of the Deep Red wedges are assumed. I can't find specs.

So this season I will play
      Mizuno MP-60 47/? Pitching Wedge
Mizuno MP Black OX raw haze 50/6 Gap Wedge
Mizuno MP Black OX raw haze 54/9 Sand Wedge
Mizuno MP Black OX raw haze 58/10 Lob Wedge

I hope that this - and all the Dave Pelz theory I've been reading over the winter - will help my scoring game.
