  • Aldila NVS 55-F 350

    Hello!-

I have a quick question about the specifications of this shaft.

I purchased a Callaway Fusion FT-3 Driver 9.5* with this shaft and I am trying to find specs. My research (looking on the internet) hasn't shown any Aldila shafts with a "55-F". I can only assume this is a 'Firm' flex shaft, between a regular and stiff flex. Is this a correct assumption?

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Any sites that could shed some light would be helpful also.

Thanks and have a great day!

The assumption is correct. 55 simply would indicate a 55 gram shaft.

I think that's correct too although I've never seen one of these in a Callaway driver. The stock Callaway shaft is an Aldila NVS but not a 55-F http://www.callawaygolf.com/uk.CLUBS...ge-shafts.html

The only driver I know with this shaft is the Cobra F-Speed series which comes with a 55 gram F-flex Aldila shaft, although I can't remember if it's an NV or NVS.

The F-flex in Callaway woods tends to be closer to regular than stiff (I had them in my 3 and 5 woods for years). Although 55g is quite light even for a driver, the NVS is a great shaft and with that FT-3 head you should be booming them straight down the fairway!

        LowPost42 and Bloodredsun,

Thanks for all the info!!! I really appreciate it. I went to the range yesterday and had A LOT of fun with this club! I can't wait to play my next round!

I have been playing with a regular flex shaft and was hooking a lot of my drives. My swing speed is in the mid-to-upper 90s. Not really a stiff flex range (from what I have read and heard) and a little too much for regular flex. So, this F flex is right up my alley!

Thanks again and all the best to you!
