  • Big brand equipment

I am considering purchasing a new set of clubs. I currently have a set of Titleists, and I am again thinking big brand- Taylor Made, Titlesit, Cleveland, Srixon.

Over the last several months, here in the UK, through reading the golf magazines and website, I have noted a lot of good publicity for a company based in Northern Ireland called MD Golf. There clubs seem to get plenty of good reviews and are very reasonably price. For example, the MD Forged irons retail at £299 and I can see them on ebay for £199. I am alos considering buying my first hybrid and I am looking at the MD Golf Black Hawk, which I can get for £24.99. Again reviews are excellent.

Has anyone on here used MD golf euipment and what are their views?

      Hi Slater

Custom made clubs is an option. I know from your experience you would recommend this.

I was talking to a sales assistant in a golf store a while back, he put me onto to some Cleveland golf clubs, have to say they are nice and would cost about £400. The sales assistant told me that Nike clubs and Taylor Made clubs and other "big brands" are expensive because you are basically paying for the advertising and sponsoring of players. Nike pay Tiger Woods a fortune so thay have to get their money in somehow.

There are some good sets on Ebay at the moment. £290 for a set Of Taylor Made RACs LTs. American Golf they are £499! Only thing that worries me buying off Ebay is the authenticity of the clubs, plus not having chance to have a bat with them.

for £290 you could have set of irons that fit you perfectly.
if your serious about your game then i think this is your best.
i used to think my mizuno's were the dogs but my apex irons wipe the floor with them.
        nuff said!
