  • Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Wedge

    Hi All,

I have gone out and bought one of these wedges which I think its is great apart from one problem. The problem is that it is chewing up my balls and sometimes it is after just a couple of holes. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with this wedge?

    Cheers

It's the same complaint that was made of the SMT Durometer (one of the first 'spin milled' wedge heads).

          LowPost,

You know of any other current heads from golfworks or golfsmith that perform comparably well, that need to be assembled.

Nothing offhand, the 'spin milled' is what you'd be looking for. I just put some Wishon CX Micro's into play - they're no better than my Duros (but they sure look nicer).

Re: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Wedge

              Thanks lowpost.

I'll probably just try to save some money up and get a couple vokey wedges. I'm thinking of a 56/10 and a 60/4. We have pretty hard sand and lots of hardpan around the course so looking at the lower bounce models.
I'd like to be a little more aggressive with my swings around the green and I think I could do that with the spin milled as the ball will check up.

Save your cash and get Cobras bud, same heads just cheaper.

The spin milled are fine for those of us that get given new balls for free, if I was a cynic I would say Acushnet were taking the piddle with these clubs and intentionally started selling them cos they knew they would see an increase in sales of Pro-V1

If I was a cynic that is........
