Try Intelligolf - as I posted elsewhere it seems good but only if you don't need reading glasses!

      Bill Reed,

I am a BIG supporter of Intelligolf software. Add a GPS unit and you can get pretty exact on what clubs you hit what distances.

I am not a pro by any means, this software has helped me take the guessing out of club selection. Also, after the round I can upload the info that I collected on the course (shot distances, scores, putting, penalty shots, anything you want to keep track of) and analyze what, where and how I can improve. The software will also keep track of trends (% par or better, GIRs, score, etc.) and graph them for you. With the GPS unit you can 'map' your own course. There is no yealry subscription. To download courses, it is free. I can't say enough good things about the softward program (Eagle edition).

Check it out at; IntelliGolf - #1 Golf Scoring and GPS Software (TM) for Pocket PCs, Palm and Treo handhelds, Windows Mobile, Sony Ericsson, Nokia smartphones, and Blackberry

      Well worth it!

          Re: palm pda golf software

          Hi Bill

I'll rise above the fact that I recommended Intelligolf 10 days ago on the basis of using it on my Nokia but you ignored me.

There's a page on the intelligolf site that gives a list of compatible GPS receivers.

          IntelliGolf - IntelliGPS Certification

I actually use the TomTom Satnav one which works fine even though it isn't listed.

              Re: palm pda golf software

              Hi Bill

I know next to nothing about them too - on my phone the GPS thingie and the phone communicate via Bluetooth to enable the software so I assume that if the Z22 supports Bluetooth you will be the same.

                Re: palm pda golf software

                Bill,

Couple of questions about your Palm z22; Does it have bluetooth? What kind of expansion slots does it have? Compact flash? SD? These will allow a GPS unit to work with your palm to give you distances to greens and other objects (i.e. sand traps, end of fairway, etc.). Somehow a GPS unit needs to work with your palm to get coordinates.

Regardless of GPS use, the software allows you to keep accurate statistics and shows you how to improve your game, with a little analysis. The fact that you can download any course (just about) for free was the kicker for me. SkyCaddie and others are too expensive.

I don't know if I've helped, but I think you'll enjoy the software whether or not you have/use GPS.
