  • Precept soft compression balls

As a golfer who still cannot consistently break 100, I'm not one to fuss over golf balls. I'll play any ball that's not too beat up.

A guy that I sometimes play with has been using Precept "ice" women's balls, the translucent ones. I asked him why and he said "I don't know, I just like the way they feel, and they go a long way." And he was, in fact, sending them a long way, nice and straight. So I asked if I could try one, and he obliged. And...it *did* feel different, almost as if there were no ball there. And it went a looooong way. If I could feel the difference, it must really be different.

I gather these balls are softer, which makes sense in terms of feel, but I wouldn't expect to get more distance from a softer ball. I don't know if anyone else has tried these. Pretty interesting.

    Re: Precept soft compression balls

I play a precept laddie and the laddie extreme I have also played with the precept lady......It's all about swing speed I believe,my swing speed is around 106 -108 not a whole lot but I can compress it more than a top flight ,pinnacle or the other hard balls....But then again if there's faults in a swing the ball is probably not going to matter just yet.
