  • length of driver

Hi this is my first time on, I started golf 12yrs ago and am 6 handicap, I`m buying a new driver and was wondering what differance it would make having it shortened. Due to the fact I hit my steel shaft 3 wood as far as current driver.
Do pro`s have different lengths to suit their size?
I`ve had every make going and am planing a nickent driver for another change, I feel so in control with my 3 wood and was
wondering would it totally ruin the driver?

    tottenham,

The main thing you want is your driver to be D2 swing weight. This will keep the ball on the head the proper time. If you have it shortened, weight can be added to the end of the shaft to be the proper swing weight. Have it swing weigted with no weight in the shaft and it will be in balance.

    Any clubmaker can do this,
