    Re: wedge degrees

I usually carry four wedges, though inside 60 yds I pretty much use my 60 lob wedge. Unless you have time to play a lot or practice a lot I really think you are better to try and zero in your distances inside 60 or so with the same club. It seems easier to adjust the distance with the same club then being all over the place with 3 or 4 diferent ones.

      Re: wedge degrees

But the Pelz 3 x 4 system seems an elegant way of circumventing this - particularly with the distances taped to the shaft of the the 7:30 / 9 / 10:30 swing positions

        Re: wedge degrees

        hi
i use dave pelz 4x3 system when it comes to wedges but i use a 3x3
        p/wedges
        full swing = 105yards
        3/4 swing = 95 yards
        1/2 swing = 70 yards
        1/4 swing = 45 yards

        s/wedge
        full swing = 90 yards
        3/4 swing = 75 yards
        1/2 swing = 58 yards
        1/4 swing = 40 yards

        56% wedge
        full swing = 60 yards
        3/4 swing = 50 yards
        1/2 swing = 40 yards
        1/4 swing = 30 yards

dont use the full swing very often with the wedge's but using the other 3 swings i can hit anything under 100 yards more often than not. anything from 30 yards in i use my putting swing.
