  • Pairs Match Play Shot Allocation

    Hi all,

Just wondering if someone could clear this up for me. If playing a pairs match how would you allocate shots between the two pairs. The example is Team A has a player off 12 and a player off 19 and Team B has a player off 16 and a player off 24. Do you do a combined 3/4 Handicap or does everyone play their own individual 3/4?

    Cheers

    Individual

    Hey Rob,

Last time I played a combined Match Play event here in Australia we played off our individual 3/4 handicap.

I haven't played this type of event in quite a while so I am not too sure if it has changed. But this is what it was for me.

Probably would be a good idea to contact your local golf club and ask them how they work it out. They are usually up to date with things like that.

    Cheers

Take 3/4 of the difference from the lowest handicapper (12). He will play off scratch. The 16er will play off 3. You can do the math for the others.
