I have been reading around the USGA website waiting on my rules. I came across the handicap section. It seems that the USGA uses local clubs to issue handicaps but only one was listed for NC. The handicap also seems to be figured by some long formula but the website talks a lot about slope which I could not explain to save my life. I did sign up to a web site on line (Keepmyscore) but I have no idea if my handicap after the 14 rounds will be legal. My question is can this be expained or can someone point me in the right direction to read about handicap's in plain english.
