Hello to everyone.
Glad to be a new member of this golf community. I am hoping to get excellent feedback from everyone out there and improve my scores.
The biggest problem with my game is a feeling or thought or instinct that I have to swing out of my shoes (100% and beyond) to hit the golf ball for any distance. This has led to every fault you can think of (fat, thin, hooks, slices, and complete mishits). Sometimes I feel myself swing so hard on the downswing that I move so far off the ball and I almost miss the ball completely. This problem has just about ruined my game.
What do I need to do mentally or swing related to convince myself that I never need to swing for the fences to make better contact with the ball?
