    love the game, the only game you cant win!
    Im pro at the range and seem to struggle on the course.
    I have never had a lesson , not sure how to pick a teacher.
    any advise
    I have shot an 84, more consistently 90, yesterday 108(tough course)

    If your finding your better at the range then the course, you need to find a harder range.

    Finding a teacher is not too hard, the right one for you is hard. If you are serious about starting a program of improvement, be prepared to evaluate them from a long term goal's perspective, and not just a tip/solution fix perspective. Just about any teacher will have lots of tips and drills to help you, and this is the start. But you need to create a personal relationship with them in order to improve past just simple lessons. You will need to actually play golf together. This is the only way I know to properly evaluate someone's game.
