Hello to you, and welcome to the great game of golf! Just be careful, this game is addicting. One piece of advise I would give you if your just starting out is this.
Get some lessons before bad habits start! Also, read up on golf etiquette. Golf has become very popular over the past few years, and while people are learning the mechanics, they are not learning the rules or the etiquette of golf, and it is getting very frustrating.
