Hi everyone. This is my first post as I only joined yesterday so I hope I'm doing this properly. I apologise if this subject has been raised before but I am a bit confused over the terms 'wrist cock' and 'wrist hinge.' What exactly is the difference and is one better than the other? Does one have a different effect on the ball flight to the other? Look forward to receiving your help.

Re: Wrist cock or wrist hinge?
Hi Fitzyboy,
I've sent this video before. I saw these Golf Channel programs when they first aired, and Martin Hall has a way of using props and his showmanship to instill his lessons. I still pull these out from time to time, as I enjoy them so much. His over the top presentations do not annoy me as much as some of the viewers have commented. I think he's just enthusiastic about his love of teaching golf. I'd sooner have a lesson like his, than those I've had from other uncaring autocratic teaching pros.
The first part of the video is regarding wrist cock/hinge.
The following parts should also be of interest to new members who never have seen it before. On the you tube page, you will see Martin Hall's video, Part 2. You will enjoy that one too. If you search, you will find some of his other videos which are around, on swing plane, etc.
These videos also address some of the subjects on other threads, such as hitting down, release, casting, flipping etc.

Thanks. That's what I am looking for, in particular learning to have a flat left wrist.Originally posted by rotator View PostHi Fitzyboy,
