  • Loving my New Swing

    Hello all,

I'm brand spankin new and addicted to this game! I had a terrible slice and found this site while looking for a cure. Found my cure! It was all in the wrist. I've played 2 rounds and been to the driving range about 8 times in past two weeks and I'm here to tell ya, I'm hitting the ball farther and straighter than I ever have. I can even hook or slice at will with a slight bend of the wrist on my back swing. I'm loving it. I never imagined hitting the ball well past the 200 flag. I need a longer driving range so I can get a better estimate of my driving distance.

Anybody got any good ideas for getting my boss to let me work from golf course?

    Hi Ziegy,

Good that you are loving the game and having some success.

By the by, you have a long way to go, if you're not hitting the 200 with a 7 iron, like the big hitters here.

About the boss situation, if you get good enough, your office could be the golf course. Nice job, eh?

Enjoy the people you play with, that's what recreational golf is all about.

Ok so I played 18 yesterday and hit 13 over on the front and 15 over on the back. Not anything to brag about but when I played last yr, I hit a 127 on another par 72 course. Wow, that was bad. I've come a long way baby! So now I'm hitting 100. Off the tee I'm in the fairway (most of the time), and my short game is coming around. Now that I'm hitting them straight, I have a few more tricks I'm gonna work on to get a little more distance. I'm gonna work on that 7 iron. But if you can hit the 7 iron 200 yards, what do you need other clubs for?

Well done! It's a good first milestone to break 100
