Hello and welcome to the site.

It would help members to help you if you could explain more detail of your problems.

What is going wrong with your irons and weight shift?

I'm new to G.T.O. and I'd appreciate some help.I am a sub 40 average golfer but for the last 3 years I have struggled with blading short chips to the right.I have tried numerous things to correct this problem but have had no consistency.I used to be very good inside of 25 yards, now I cringe, even happens on really short shots.Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

If your predominant sot is a push you should work on turning through the shot. A push is often caused by steering the club instead of turning right through and committing.

I agree with Brian about being positive and turning through the shot.

Also, the more tentative you become (you say you cringe), the more you have the tendency to ease into the shot and scoop the club, particularly when the chip is a delicate one. Take a shorter backswing and don't be afraid of moving your shoulders in concert with the arms and the club, as you would a putt or any other shot. Otherwise you will merely pick the club up and swing through by flipping with the hands. A shorter backswing and a more positive through swing, although that does not mean a stabbey swing.
