  • Becoming a regular on the course

Hi just thought I'd introduce myself.

I am 48 and have been go-karting for the last 5 years but it's fairly hard on the body (and wallet) and my mate (best friend) has given it up so I just don't have the same enthusiams as I used to.

Over some beers, the mate and I decided we would take golf back up. I played it for several years when a teenager but since then have only played like once a year with hired clubs. The mate played 3 times a week for a few years about 8 years ago. He has a set of Prosimons clubs.

Since our decision, we have played 3 times this last week - I had to use hire clubs again. So yesterday I visited the ProShop and bought a set of Prism Fireform clubs. I haven't had them adjusted yet - the bloke at the proshop measured me up and recommended shortening the shafts by 1/2 inch. I am thinking about getting a couple of lessons off the Pro before getting the shafts adjusted.

I think I will get a couple of lessons over the next two weeks, then maybe one every month for a while.

    Anyway, cheers for now.
    Paul
