New to site (today). Found you all by following some links on Stack and Tilt. Not a newbie to golf as I've been playing since I was 16 (now 51). Played high school golf and a bit in college (small school team). Left the game for a while (raised a family) and have come back (weekly player) the past few years with a company of a good friend. I have a shoulder injury keeping me from playing my best but the swing that seems to give me the least pain is stack/tilt - hence the reason for browsing the web.
Someday when I "retire" from corporate life I'd like to become a teacher. Not a PGA but there is an organization called the USTGA that has a school in my area once a year that qualifies a person as a "teacher".
I'm excited to get to know you all and learn - yes, I can learn even at my age as I've probably ingrained enough bad moves in my swing over the years. By the way, I play OK - maybe to an 8 right now as I just can't make the motion I want with the shoulder - and hold my own out there. Comments I get are "You swing so effortlessly and the ball jumps off your club" - so I have a pretty good tempo and technique but still inconsistent.
Thanks for reading.
