    New Member from PA

    I'm 69 years old, and I started playing golf last summer.

    I really appreciate the info you folks post here, as I need all the help I can get.

    Hi Freeport,

    Welcome and enjoy the game.

    As a relative beginner, there is a lot of stuff in the archives you may find of interest. Just do a search for key words.

    There are a lot of other old geezers on the board also. Our credo could be "older members who actually believes that old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill" , although that was in a different context as stated by GolfJunkieSr.

      Thanks for the come-back Rotator.

      I'm aware that I'm not physically capable of what the younger golfers are, but mentally I'm as capable as I was 40 years ago, so I'm hoping that will compensate somewhat for my lack of physical dexterity.

      So far my concentration on accuracy rather than distance has been working to my satisfaction, and my plan is to continue to improve on that.

      Of course I'll never be a pro, as such an aspiration at my age would not be very realistic, so I guess the best I can do is to become the best I can be with what I have to work with.

      And I sure do thank you and the others here for sharing what you know with the folks here like me. It means more to us than you might think.
