  • new member -question about soft spike removal

Hi. I am a newbie to forums but a long time golf nut. I used to be a 9, but since I don't play as much I now play to about a 15. I switched over to soft spikes -black widows in my latest pair of shoes and now I have let them get too worn out and can't get them out! Any ideas?

i had the same problem but this is a surefire solution!
get a bowl and pour boiling water a couple of inches deep into it then place a shoe in the water for about 10 minutes after that the cleats come out real easy

Cleat removal is easy. Forget the 'cleat tools'. Grab a pair of needle nose pliers and jam them in the holes. You're replacing the cleats - if they get a little more destroyed it's no big deal.

Slater's idea works as well - soften the dirt in the threads (or Qlok dock) and the cleats come out with less effort. Even then, I still say don't use the tool, use a pair of needle nose pliers.
