    Hello, From Scotland

    Hi everyone, found your site whilst looking through various things to try and cure my newly found duck hook off the tee , that came from nowhere mid round today, im hoping it was due to the bad weather . (heavy rain and high winds).

    Anyway i play at Leven thistle golf course, which is in Fife, along the coast from St Andrews.

    Decided to play again after a year away, got my handicap thru the other week, 14.1,hoping to try and work to getting it down to a single figure eventualy .

    Anyway good to be here,

      Damn, i was playing out of my skin last night, hitting some of the best iron shots ive ever played in my life, was 3 over with 4 holes left, then that duck hook came back in to my driving again, i proceeded to take a 7 at the 16th and bogey the last two holes.

      i suppose i should be over the moon at shooting a 77 as my best before that was an 82, but it could have been so much better.

      I wish i could figure out what is causing me to drive like that now and again, i really struggle to stop it once it starts i tried practicing for about an hour after my game and every drive was pathetic

        could be standing too upright at set up cause a duck hook?

          Went over the park for 90mins, trying different things, seems like the problem was coming from a weak right hand on my grip, ive corrected this and it seems to be making a huge difference to my ball contact, i can even consistently strike my 3 wood off the fairway (something ive always struggled with), i now have a slight fade on my shots, lets hope it dosent revert back to the norm
