  • Ping G15 shaft alignment correct?

    Happy New Year All!

I just received a set of Ping G15 irons and noticed the shafts (logo) are not aligned with either the club heads or grips. At first glance, the grips appear to be in-line with the clubs' bottom grove.

I haven't asked the shop where I was fitted yet...or Ping. I would think all three components...head to shaft to grip...would be aligned. At address, the shaft logo presents an offset alignment which is a disturbing visual image.

Is this normal, or has Ping cranked in a spine or flo factor?

    What say you?

I've not heard of an OEM that bothers to detect spine or FLO plane for shaft orientation.

Sounds like a typical cut 'n' glue with no regard to shaft orientation.

      hi
Ping lazer fit all grips. shafts and club heads at factory. the same guy fits the heads, shafts and grips so you could have 20 guys fitting 20 sets but only one guy works on any one set. there name should be on the lable you got with your set of clubs.
it would be very unlikly that they are misalined, but if you feel that you are unhappy. take them back and have ping check them.i have found that ping are a really good company to deal with and only to willing to help you in any way.
you would be better taking them back just to put your mind at rest.
if you look up Ping-uk you will see a film of them fitting grips and shafts and the lazer that they use to line everything up.
hope you get it sorted soon.
      best of luck.
      Bill
