  • Hi From San Diego

Reading a lot of great advice here, has already helped me improve my swing a bit.... I am new to the game and surprised how much reading helps after trying random advice from friends.

Also looking forward to not seeing the huge annoying "you have not posted, please post to New Members forum" message..... lol

    Thanks

      Re: Hi From San Diego

I've just joined as well. I look forward to reading the threads, learning from them and to improve my game. I'm not new but have recently taken a lesson from the pro at my home course (3 weeks ago). It's a whole new swing and at times it hit the ball beautifally and others not so good. I used a one plane swing for many years but after injuring my left hip and subsequent surgery that one plane swing is painful. The new swing has me setting my wrists as the first move in the backswing. I had very little wrist set with my old swing and this new one feels very strange and my backswing seems to be in 2 parts, not one smooth move. I've been at the range about 10 times practicing the new move + 6 rounds of golf. Any advice to help me ingrain this move and make it natural would be greatly appreciated.
