Hi,I seem to loose height in the downswing and collapse my right leg and suffer too many fat shots....has anyone any tips or simple drills to enable me to stop this.
I'm a golfaholic, no question about that. Counseling wouldn't help me. They'd have to put me in prison, and then I'd talk the warden into building a hole or two and teach him how to play. ~Lee Trevino
Its how you are turning / rotating onto the leading (left) leg that is probably causing this. If you are you staying too far back on the back (right) leg into impact, you are putting the majority of your wright there and it flexes to maintain balance...you dip and lower you point of impact.
So the trick is to make sure that from the top of the swing you are getting to your front leg early enough where you are almost 100% there into impact. Keep that leading leg straight as you rotate onto it.

Two suggestions.
1) You are trying to lift the ball. It is very instinctive to scoop. In stead feel as though you are trying to hit the ball into the ground. Your club should not only be travelling donwards as your make contact but it should be closing as well.
2) Put your weight onto your left side throughout the swing and use your left side more.
That will help you get through the ball. But keep your head over the ball and don't sway back or forward.
