    Hopefully I am back (no pun inteded lol)

    Well some of you may remember me back in the day when wee whent to the Belfry 08 in think, since then had a bad motorcycle accident which basically fooked my back (hence no pun in title) However after years of physio and do's n donts i managed to get 9 holes on a pitch n put with no discomfort so heres hoping , looking to get back onto an 18 hole soon then back to the 3 skills next year for hopefully a full golfing reovery.

    Also looking for golfing buddies up near whitley bay as moved up here and lost contact with my old golf friends down in sunny Hartlepool.

        Mate I had something similar happen and ended up with a bit of hardware in my lower back.I used a walking stick for 10yrs before giving golf a go. It's taken 5yrs but no more stick and golf 3 days a week. I sometimes have to increase the morphine, but it's worth it, so good onya. Get a style that is back friendly and keep on swinging

                Nice never been there before, but they do have a reputation for very nice greens, hope all is well with the course and will deffo have to get a round or three with you there

                  Yep, sure. The rumour is that the first 6 holes are the toughest in Northumberland. See what you think. I will see if there is a PM section to see when we are both around.

                    Well thanks to miffin (Brian) had my first round in over 5 years today, was a little concerned that i was going to hack round but was not to be.
                    par birdie par par start, front nine in 2 over, started to tire and feel back on the back nine but came home in a credible 6 over for a total gross of 80
                    Enjoyable round and company cheers Brian looking forward to next time

                      To anyone reading. I was stunned at Keith's start. Lots of people say this course has the toughest first 4 holes in Northumberland. But as keith stated, he went 4 3 4 4. I thought he might break the course record! Yep, very enjoyable. Hope my achilles recovers for tomorrow and the Seniors Winter Comp. I have had it on ice for a bit.
