    hello everyone.

    joined this forum in a state of despair

    im a supposed 9 handicapper who has developed the shanks, mainly in pitch shots, but appears to be creeping into full swings

    I don't know why you'd take the advice of a 21 handicapper but standing one inch farther back helped me.

      thanks pal, at this time i'd take advice from my very unsporting girly girl of a wife whos never played golf before .

      figured it out tonight after about 2 weeks of sheer heart ache. i kid you not, i have almost been brought to tears. a 9 handicapper who cant pitch a ball 20 yards??

      the very first lesson i ever had, the pro told me, and before i quote him, you need to know i am scottish, "git yer ebbies in"

      which translates to get your elbows tucked in. i use the term "ebbies in" with anyone who's knew to the game as a tip but for some reason i have forgot to do it myself.
