Most investment cast clubs will allow for a 2* lie adjustment and forged clubs can be adjusted 3* to 4*. If it were me, I would take my clubs to a custom club maker. They are in the business of building clubs, a golf pro may be qualified, but relatively inexperienced compared to a club maker. I know the prices are reasonable. Here in Canada I believe it costs about $8/club.

Be sure you get your shaft lenghts measured on the Mizuno's.. I have heard they have shorter shafts than usual.

Gord/BDR thanks for the pointers..apoligies if this is posted in the wrong part of the forums..

I will try & find out if there is a club fitter locally...who is prepared to check me out...

Another question while I'm here...shaft length for height? Is this all that criticial?

I would have thought it's really just the lie thats important.. 'especially me being vertically challenged at 5ft 6"' as any loss of leverage means a loss of distance...(providing of course they are matched & not excessively long)

I do feel I have reasonable control over the clubs..well most of the time!!

A standard set of men's clubs are suited for someone who is 5'10". General rule of thumb is for every inch change in height, the club length difference is 1/4 - 1/2 inch. If cutting down, use the 1/4", if adding, use 1/2" - it's easier (and cheaper) to either grip down or cut a little extra off if it's not cut quite right than to add extensions or reshaft if you cut too much off.
