Hi everyone..
started playing again after a few years..
Actually, I don't seem to have lost as much technique as I thought I might, but all the old problems persist..
I can't hit woods for toffee. I have a 3 (metal)wood and a driver.
The 3 wood I normally slice low, and the driver barely gets off the ground..
As a result, I play my 5 iron off the Tee.
I hit this about 200 yds and probably striaght 8 times out of 10.
The bad one is normally a low hook or a high slice.
Off the fairway (ie not off a Tee peg), anything longer than a 7 iron tends to get topped or shanked..
Short irons I'm mostly happy with I'm hitting SW 100, PW 120, 9 135 8 145 7 160 fairly consistently..
Any hints or tips would be welcomed.
I'm thinking of getting one of these Controller driving irons, because even a well hit 5 iron off the tee puts me under too much pressure with the second shot.
Should I do this or persevere with the woods?
Handicap officailly 28, play to anywhere from 19-28.
