  • my first week in the world of golf..

before I started in the driving range, Ive visited online and read golf lessons by leslie king golf lessons, Ive ordered yelnatsgolf at ebay, pretty good for a starter but need a lot of adjustment and trimmings, in general my main problem are::

    1) how long do I have to stand from the ball to my toes?.
    2) how many inches from my armpit the elbow will rise?
that's it for now and I am going as much as I can in the driving range, theres a lot of improvement I am doing only on iron 7, and 8 so far...

Welcome to the addiction that costs more $$ than cocaine (if you do it right).

Comfortably. Your arms should hang loosely. Stand up tall, and relax your arms and shoulders. Then bend forward, keeping your arms and shoulders relaxed. Notice where they hang. For me, it was unbelievably close to me.

I don't understand this question, so I'll stab at it with a spoon.

I assume you're talking about your backswing, and lead elbow. The answer is dependent on your type of swing, but your elbow will either be:

    A) Level with or slightly higher than your armpit (and relatively close), or
    B) Lower than the level of your armpit, and relatively further away than option A.

IF you're talking about your trailing elbow, it should only raise minimally. Try keeping it bent and folded close to your body. Don't let it separate too far from your body.
