I'm brand new to the game--plan to play my first round of golf this spring, and I'm excited about it. I've been practicing all winter and I think I have my swing down fairly well. Of course, I won't know until I try it out! I actually bought my starter set of clubs several years ago, but not only was I not doing well teaching myself the game I discovered shortly thereafter that I was destined to be a father. She is now 2 years old (and huge at 37 inches--trust me that is gigantic for a 2 year old) and she already has her first set of toy clubs. Hey, someone has to de-throne Annika. Anyway, just about all my hobbies were put on hold for a while, but this winter I picked up the clubs again and am ready to go.
Don't ask me how I got addicted to a game I have never played. Still trying to figure that one out myself. I wanted to play the game as a kid, too, but never did. My dad wasn't much of a player and I guess the oppertunities just weren't there. I just look at a golf club and I want to swing it, I look at a golf ball and I want to see it flying in a perfect arc, I even look at a golf tee and I want to shove it in the ground. Funny, eh?
I hope all you guys can help in my quest to learn this game, and if I ever get passibly good at it, I hope I can help the seekers of knowledge who come in after me.
