  • Hi! New member looking for fitness advice

Let me start by saying I've never golfed in my life (unless you count putt-putt?).

I am entering into the personal training business and a large number of our clientel will be golfers. My Dad has just retired and opened a franchise business called Fitness Together, which offers personalized training where the client enjoys one-on-one training in their own weight rooms, so they don't need to fight for equipment.

Our (golfing) clients are generally casual players, maybe playing one to three times a week. Our first client is an ex-World Series winning baseball pitcher and he is looking to get back in shape for a celebrity golf tournament in June.

What resources can I use to discover key exercises and muscle groups used for golf?

    Thank You!
    John

    Hello & welcome to GTO,

Golf is a sport like anyother. I make sure i dont streches and put a club under my arms across my back and turns right then follow thru facing right. Being lose is a key part of a warm up IMO.

Hi there, e-mail me and I'll be able to give you a list of resources and people to speak to who are experts in golf fitness. That counts for anyone on GTO.

I'm happy to send the list to GTO and Greg can put it on the website somehwhere ... no problem.
