Hello to All-
I just returned from a trip to the launch monitor to get fitted for a driver which will result in a better launch angle. To my surprise, I was de-lofting the driver at impact consistently in the 3-6% range and was hitting the club face slightly to the right of center and lower than is optimal with today's technology. My clubhead speed was consistently 108-112 mph, but my swing only produced a ball speed of 130 mph (a ratio of 1.2). By way of background, I play to a 10 with a nuetral grip.
Shouldn't the ball speed approximate 1.5 times the clubhead speed? Does my de-lofting of the driver contribute to a lower ball speed? Are there any good drills that can help me correct the de-lofting issue (and presumably develop more of an inside out clubhead path)?
I appreciate your thoughts.
John
