Re: Carolina Scramble
I have heard of a Florida Scramble (wonder if it is the same? or close)
That is where it is usually a 3-4 person scramble. Every one Tees off, you pick the best shot and everyone except the players whose shot you select hits again. Then repeat the process until the ball is holed out.
Takes a little more strategy if you have a couple better golfers, and a couple hackers together. Also mixes up the number of shots you use of all players.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
Re: Carolina Scramble
It might be like a Texas Scramble:
Every player tees off. You then select the best tee shot. Then everyone plays their own ball from that point.

Re: Carolina Scramble
And don't confuse this with the "Iraqi Scramble" where you take the worst shot from the tee, and the rest are the best. Makes for quite a day recovering from really really bad mistakes!
