  • Hello

My name is Lorne and I am from Rochester, New York and I wanted to say hello to all and ask for some advice. I am playing in a golf league weekly and playing horribly. A lot of this has to do with the fact the course is very hilly and I never seem to have a good lie. The ball is either above or below my feet and I end up hitting a rotten shot from this position which is frustrating. Is there anything I can do to move my feet or whatever to help this situation? What is the best way to approach a shot like this? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    Re: Hello

    Hi pal welcome

Like you, i have trouble playing on sloping lies. however, i do have a couple of tips that may help.
    uphill lies:
1 ) set your shoulders to slope
    2) set hips opposite direction to aid balance
    3) play ball forward in stance
    4) use a club with less loft

    downhill lies:
    1) set shoulders to match slope
    2) set hips in opposite direction to aid balance
    3) play ball back in stance
    4) use a club with more loft.

All i can say is good luck and i hope this is of help.Regards....Terry
