  • Hi all - In Dire straights!!!

    Hi all,

I am currently looking for a way to revive my game to what it used to be, i used to play of H/C of 10-15. Over the last 3 months my game has absolutely turned upside down... last game i played i stopped after 9 holes with a score of 67!! I have gradually been getting worse and now its come to this, i dont know what to do... i think its mainly mental but i know my stroke has changed and i dont seem to be able to correct it. Hopefully this site can help...

    Cheers, Luke

    Hi Luke, and welcome.
I am well aware of whats happening to you as I have been going through the same experience for the last month. I nearly gave up but got some great encouragement here on this site. It is definitely mental and the worse you play the lower your confidence gets. I went back to my coach and started to reconstruct my swing. Start from scratch, ie grip stance ball position etc and most importantly enjoy swinging the club. I am now back to my swing and hitting well on the range. The next step is to go to the course with the same attitude. This process will take time but it is the only way forward. When you start hitting it well again you will find your confidence creep back and this will happen.

    Regards,
    Robert

Thanks for the support! I am thinking of going back to the driving range and just like you say start from scratch... its just so annoying knowing that i can play well but at the moment just cant hit a ball right.

O'well i will keep battling on.

Get some lessons.... even just an assessment or something

Find a good pro, or it'll be money for nothing.
