Hi everyone, just to say hello and looking forward to speaking with you and from learning more about this great game. If anyone has tips on driving consistently please throw in your thoughts.
regarding your driving problems, it helps to go right back to basics . I've got a quick check list for you
1) grip : make sure at settup that you have a neutral grip ( you should only see 2 - 2 half knuckles of your left hand ).Don't grip the club too tight.
2) posture : Try to maintain your spine angle throughout the swing. This will promote a constant height and eliminate chunks and tops.
3) Alignment : make sure feet hips and shoulders are parallel to target line.
4). Backswing : start your backswing by sweeping the club away .This will promote plenty of width through the swing
5) downswing : This must start from ground up , knees , hips then shoulders . This will automatically put your arms and hands into such a position that you will easily be able to square the clubface at impact.
Try to relax and remember , SWING THROUGH THE BALL , NOT AT IT.
Hello Manchester Chap ! Thank you for taking the time to offer the advice, I will certainly think about your suggestions when I'm out there on Saturday.
Regards,
Paul
