    Fat shots:

Check to see if you're sliding your hips backwards on your backswing. Stand next to a table with your hips/legs 1" away. Make your backswing. If you touch the table, you're sliding or swaying.

You may be dipping your shoulders rather than turning them. To feel this, stand up tall, put your arms out like you're bracing in a doorway (a wide doorway), and turn your arms around your spine. Then do side bends. That side bend feeling has no place in your swing.

Couple of things I think might be note worthy. A lot of times when I hit fat shots it's because I release my hands to soon in my down swing. That in combination with sliding hips back in the back swing is sure to produce a fat shot.

My greatest cure has been to concentrate on keeping my back leg and side still in the back swing, then start the down swing with a release of the hips forward and visualizing hitting the back of the golf ball.

To practice keeping the back leg and hips steady I like to setup so my shadow is out over the ball and I can see any movement in my shadow. Hope this helps.
