Hitting the ball on it's top. It may go a few yards forward. It could go a few yards backward.

Hitting the ball above it's horizontal equator. The ball flies low and far, and rolls. Usually forever.

This is the movement of the ball away from you in flight. For right handers, this means the ball bends to the right. Hard.

This is the opposite of a slice. The ball bends towards you, hard. For right handers, this ball bends left.

A ball that bends away from you, but only 5-7 yards. For right handers, it bends right.

This usually refers to a high arcing shot that lands softly (ie it doesn't roll too much after landing - usually the roll is less than 2 feet).
