Im new to golf and just joined this community. Im glad to be able to communicate with people who love the game like I do. Im 24 live in augusta Georgia and Ive been really playing golf for 7 months now. I play 4-8 times a month, take lessons and go to the range every week day. Im currently, consistently shooting in the mid 80s with the occassional bad day in the low to mid 90s, my question to the pros is this: How realistic is it for someone with my very limited experience to be competetive some day with people who have been playing since they were 10!? I love the game for fun with friends but the competition and the dream of playing around the country is what really drives me to work. I want to keep things in perspective and be realistic. The pros on tour are on a completely different level than even the scratch golfer, could I ever get close to that level?
