Hi,
Having played to a 2 handicap at age 21 (still junior status), for a number of reasons, I stopped playing in 1993. For a number of other reasons, I have purchased a set of irons, a driver and putter (all after research and trial) and am having my second lesson next week. Have applied for membership at local club where I have been asked to submit 3 cards before membership can progress. Any suggestions to help me get back to single figures before next summer appreciated. The swing mechanics are generally better than I thought they would be and coach suggests that I should be able to play to around 6 by next summer - with some practice. The whole game seems to have changed 'since my day' however - certainly club technology. What are rescue clubs anyway - why do I need one. And as for the variety of wedges, whatever happened to sand and pitching wedges only! General comments appreciated re what I might need to get my head round to get back into the swing of things (no pun intended). Regards, Darren
