  • Hi from the land down under.

Hi folks,my name is Trevor and I have just joined this site hoping to find some tips to improve my golf.I suppose I am like many other golfers,if I connect,it goes a mile, but to do that consistantly is a problem,it seems the more I try to get everything right, the worse everything turns out.I have read a few of the comments written in these forums and they give me something to work at.
    Cheers to all.

    Hi Hacker,

Work on a routine. Forget about distance. A good way forward is to become repetitive in what you do well. if you find that your wedge or 8 is a confident club for you, then work the swing of this club in to others. There is no different swing for different clubs. Apart from the driver which is probably the most difficult to use. Have you considered a few lessons? This is the way forward if you want to improve.

    Cheers,
    Robert

      Hi Robert.
Thank's for the info. I did take lessons quite a while ago. (I'm 66 years old now)and have done as you suggested with the favorite club,I have even played a full round just using a 7 iron, which seemed to help for a while but then I seem to revert back to no consistancy which frustrates the hell out of me because I don't seem to change anything.I realise with age things change,so It's back to the practice range.
