I am new to golf and can use all the help I can get. I recently bought a set of clubs this past week and have been to the range a couple of times. I need complete instruction. I am pretty athletic and even played college sports. Most things come very easy for me but this has not. All of my clubs I hit a slice. For some reason I pull my hands through before the club and it makes me swing inside out slicing the ball. I dont feel very comfortable in my stance so if we could start there it would be great. Thanks for any help you can offer and I look forward to getting out on the links.

    Hi there and welcome.

You sound like just about every other beginner to the game. Golf is unlike many sports as much of what you have to do is the opposite to what you think you must do.

Start your learning with a 7 iron, don't go near a driver or long iron until you can hit this club well. Swing slow and smooth, just make half swings to start with.

Take a look at this video, it will be a good point to start learning. When you have given it a try come back here and ask away.

Just watched the video. thanks for the link. It's useful to see the swing in slow motion.
