Hi, ive only been playing for a few months and so far only been on a driving range as i seem to have a few problems with my swing, firstly i cant seem to get any lift on the ball as it stays very low to the ground and also goes off to the right towards the end of its flight can anyone recommend anything to help with this.

Good luck and stick with it. This is the greatest game ever invented, devilishly hard, frustrating, marvelously strategic and rewarding. Once the bug has bitten, you will be at the start of a life long journey of ups and downs, successes and disappointments. Enjoy it!Last edited by snowman; 08-07-2007, 05:37 PM.

Re: help!!!
Snowman speaks the truth - in bucketloads. In addition, if you want to play with your head even more, try taking a short iron, and try to hit down on the ball, that is, rather than try and help it into the air, try and drill it into the earth.
Watch what happens. That's right - crazy, isn't it? It flies up even more!! Golf is a game of opposites. Swing slow, it goes further. Swing down, it pops up. Come across the ball left, it goes right. Go figure...
