  • Greetings

    Hello to all,

Mtn_Mikey here, transplanted for the winter from high in the Rocky Mountains to beautiful Port St. Lucie, FL. I'm taking a winter off from being a full time ski instructor (after a long career with GM) to work diligently on making a good game a very strong game. Plus I don't really think I am going to miss those 20 below days.

Late spring will take me back to Rockies and the course where I work from May through early October.

    Re: Greetings

Welcome! I'd dearly love to be able to move back and forth based on climate. Imagine how many rounds a year I could get in...

      Thanks,

Right now I am spending far more time at the PGA's Learning Center working on the game than I am playing. The instructor I am working with and I have decided that rather than some quick fixes we're going to tear it all down and build it up from the bottom. Didn't some guy named Len or Ben say the answer lies in the dirt? Oh yeah, that Hogan guy-not a bad ball striker.

I think I can see that proverbial tunnel in the distance where there is supposedly light at then end of it.

Over the next few months as things, hopefully, come back together we'll start playing more and more. Great courses down here!!

Oh how dearly I would love to not be stuck on the clay-sodden courses of South East Essex in England battered by seasonal wind and rain and join you in Florida.

You are a very, very fortunate man!

          hi Neil
i agree as its blowing a gale here and the icy cold winds off the north sea and the driving rain make it a nightmare to play the links courses here today.
do 18 holes in that and you deserve a medal.
          cheers
          bill

I concur, I am lucky- a lot of life long work has come together to allow me this winter of pleasure. Just checked the weather back in my Colorado home-minus 8 Farenheit at present with a projected high of 24 today. I'll take the 80 and sunny-otherwise I would be teaching skiing and freezing my tookus off. Off to the practice facility!!
