Last Saturday I had a day out with my Golf Society and played at a course in Herefordshire that was new to me. Early start, bacon roll and coffee then out on the course. I was drawn in the first 3 ball so no hanging around.

I think the course was very nice but I am not able to comment as the fog was so thick we could only see around 50 yards ahead on all but the last two holes when it lifted. In reality it was not really safe to play on but we were allowed out, the last groups had a better time of it as they probably saw half the course.

It is so disorientating playing in fog and not quite knowing what hazards may lay before you, really screwed up my game, nowhere in the rankins. Anyway, a nice dinner in the clubhouse after, copious amounts of beer, coach trip back in time to watch the World Cup Rugby final. Even though England came second it turned out to be quite an eventful day.
