You can place your clubs or bag in a hazard but not test the condition of the ground with a club.
Please see rule: Rule 13-4, exception 1).

If you are walking the course and hit one in a hazard, is it considered "grounding your club" if you set your bag down in the hazard area? Please reference a rule if possible. Thanks !!02-10-2011, 03:09 AM
