Sorry to hear that Bill. We have had a lot of snow here the last month and the roads have been dodgy, but I expect you are used to that in Scotland. Sounds like you have been playing well.

      Hi Brian
was playing well up to about late October and i took ill and missed a few months then back a couple of week and came off the bike.
weather not been good up here since xmas so only really missed a few days.
should be back and eager to play in the next few weeks may give it a try on the range next week just to see how my thumb is feeling.
it gave me plenty time to read all my golf books and now my head is buzzing with ideas to help my game
      cheers

        Re: Clubhead Speed Percentage

        Hi Brian and Bill,

There has to be rotation of the forearms and wrists in order to pronate and supinate to achieve the flat or bowed leading wrist, does there not?

I know Brian and I were in agreement during a previous discussion, that the uncocking/rotation actions from the hip high lag position of the hands to and through impact happens automatically. As Bill points out, it should happen with no conscious effort, otherwise there would be manipulation and loss of fluidity.

Brian, I'm happy to hear your game is in such good shape. I will have to wait for a month, or so for my first outing. Winter is when i do all my major home renovation work.

        Regards to you both,

        Ted

          hi Ted
i agree with what you say about rotation. if you look at all the top pro's they have all got strong left forearms.that could be due to hitting so many golf balls but you do have players like Trevino that do not turn over there wrists at impact and hold off there right hand rolling over the left till well after impact but even Trevino has forearm roll on the backswing and downswing.
          cheers
