I applied for his ten free emails from the link on this site, I never ordered the DVDs. You get an email a day for 10 days and each has an embedded video that outlines a part of his swing sequence. They are not bad and he uses a restricted backswing that is easier on the back.

I always take away something from a swing system and he has some interesting theories.

Like Brian, I like to try different swing systems also. It's kind of a hobby. I've built up quite a library of dvd's and books over the years. I did buy into Don Trahan's system. I was very disappointed with the 4 dvds. They could have put all the info on 1. Not once do you see Don hit a ball. They show DJ take a couple of swings from the waist down. He sure can talk a great game but I don't understand why he wouldn't at least take a swing with a ball or without. I've seen more than a few guys complain about the same thing. For $100 I expected a whole lot more. At least I can send them back and recoup $. Anyway that's my 2 pennies worth.

        Hi Ernie,

It seems to me there are plenty of swings by Trahan and his son in the 10 free lessons by email mentioned in this thread. Also, look at photo sequences I posted earlier, and my instruction on how to make them into a "movie". He does have a nice move.

I'm surprised the videos do not have any shots of him swinging.

As for the DVD's, it is such a simple concept, I do not think 4 DVD's was in order.

I got the free emails too which is why I asked about the DVD's to see if you got anything more than the restricted back swing.

Actually that's not fair, the free stuff is quite interesting, but I couldn't see how it could be stretched out to 4 DVDs.

Thanks for posting the swing sequence. I finally can pick apart his swing. I too got the free video emails. That's what peaked my interest. Thought the dvd package would really go into it. Perhaps if I got the manual along with it? Grip is normal..stance is narrow....3/4 backswing...no hinging of the left wrist. swing goes from ear to ear...straight up straight down and through. Pretty simple...easy on the back, which is what it's all about. I don't think DJ takes this swing on tour. Maybe the grip and stance but the rest of it is his and daddy's little secret.

              Re: Golf Lessons Online

I just recently ordered the "online" version of the DVDs and I really like it so far.

I'm not sure how far it'll take me, but on the range it's changed me from a guy who hits one out of 3 "nice shots" to more like 3 of 4 or 4 of 5 "nice shots." I've never hit this well at the range in my life. Gonna take it to the course this week to see if some of it sticks. This is the first time ever in my life that I really feel like I have a nice repeatable swing.

totally screwed up my driver though... I've never sliced until I tried to use this method with it.

I'll probably just use my 4 wood until I work out the driver issues. I just need to figure out how to get the clubhead to the ball a bit faster.
